view from Jenna's season ticket seats
Things you need to know before we get to the pictures...
1. Lisa offered me her season tickets since she couldn't go (this is her view), and I invited Alison to come since she'd missed opening week after being super-sick. Lisa is great.
2. Jenna invited Alison and I to come up and sit with her, and that was awesome too. Jenna is also great.
3. It was Jackie Robinson Day (celebrated a day late because the Braves were off Monday), so everyone is wearing #42.
4. My camera is in the shop right now. It hasn't been focusing correctly for a while. It's going to cost $80 to fix it, and I don't even have a fancy camera. That is not great.
So here are some improperly focused pictures. "Enjoy".
Big Game James seemed to have a lot of Braves friends.
I have no comment for this but I'm sure y'all do. ;)
Gattis took some fly balls in left field. Possibly a piece of the plan for McCann's return?
Kimmie smiled a lot in beepee. I mean, a LOT. I love it.
Also snagged my first Kimmie yawning picture of 2013! Yesss!
Sometimes I think I'm spending too much time loving on pitchers here, but they *are* my favorite. Blame Tommy Glavine. :)
Freddie, Chris Johnson (who the internet is calling 2.0, short for CJ 2.0. Don't know how I feel about that.), Uggla, and TP
Know how many Braves on the current 25-man roster were teammates with Frenchy? Huddy, Meds, EO, and ... Schafer.
This is a Yicketty 95 jersey.
I have no idea what Phil Falco is doing to EO, but I wish this was clear. :(
Was trying to get a pic of BJ Upton (he was laughing), and I spy socks that look like Jonny's. I appreciate his efforts with his uniform even though he's on the DL. :)
This is the bullpen applauding as Meds finished his warmup tosses, with Meds tipping his cap.
Opposing pitcher Jeremy Guthrie, one of my favorite MLBers.
Frenchy, of course.
None of my pics of Meds on the mound came out. Sorry Meds. :(
This is one of the worst quality pictures I kept. As EO ran in, he took his hat off. I'm going to pretend he's rearranging his perfect hair, not scratching it. ;)
EO warming up. (The quality of this one is a little better.)
Almost all the pictures were this blurry, or improperly focused. Can you imagine how great this would have been if it had turned out properly?
Freddie's always the center of fun, isn't he?
Luis had a hamstring cramp that made us all think he was going to die. He probably felt that way too.
He was assisted off the field. Look at Uggla holding all the stuff. Such a good helper.
Standing ovation from the crowd as they carted him off the field.
Then Kimmie came in (he was already half-warm anyway), and shut it down.
None of my handshake pictures came out, but in this one you can see the compression sleeve on Jonny's hurty elbow. :(
EO's vulturing wins this year like crazy. :)
Full gallery here. They aren't good; I'm sorry.
The Braves should be on their way to Coors as this is published. Let's take advantage of Colorado and get our home runs back on track!
