2013 ST Goodies

Here's a metric ton of stuff to look at and read, if you haven't already seen it all. If you're anything like me, you're immersing yourself in baseball as much as possible these days!

First and most importantly, today is picture day and my second favorite FSS employee just tweeted this pic:

Look at those high socks! Good job, Jonny. ❤

MLB.com: Braves' batting-practice caps feature traditional 'A'. I like them, and I would have been fine with the Indian as well. The related AJC article has a quote from team president John Schuerholz, a gentle reminder that the Front Office doesn't make decisions based on fan / blogger opinion:

“We are very, very capable of making decisions about what’s the appropriate logo,” Schuerholz said. “We don’t need any guidance…. This didn’t motivate us or drive us, or direct us to do this, but it’s no need to be part of having someone stir up something that’s unnecessarily stirred up. It’s not necessary. But we like this ‘A.’ That was at the end of it, we like this ‘A.’”

One of my office walls is totally bare. I think I need, like, a 6' canvas of this picture up there. :)

Finally, after seeing millions of pictures on Twitter and Instagram this week, I have a question. Do pitchers do PFPs throughout the season, or only in Spring Training? If they don't practice throughout the season, that's like position players only working on batting and never taking defensive practice, right?

Semi-related: I know relief pitchers never take BP, but if they ever do, I'm going to need to know when this is so I can do that behind-home-plate BP fence thingie. I need to see all the bombs these guys can hit. ;)
