Paul Maholm started us off right in NY

Winner

Fascinating notes from ESPN:

Paul Maholm: 95 pitches in shutout-- fewest by Braves pitcher in shutout since Greg Maddux had an 89-pitch shutout against the Marlins in 2000. First Braves pitcher to shut out the Mets in New York since John Smoltz in 1998. First Braves lefty to shut out the Mets since Tom Glavine in 1992.

Wow, that's awesome. Let's look at some more pictures from the series win at Citi Field last weekend...

Look at the game ball in Paul's back pocket. I'll bet that's a keeper. :)

Freddie's grin :)

When I saw this picture I thought, wow, I wish I could run that fast. Then I noticed Getty has mislabeled the runner (obviously the evening's starter Kris Medlen) as Paul Janish. Hey, can Paul pitch? We can add him to the rotation too. :D

Can you remember a recent Brave who had as much fun as Freddie Freeman has?

Oh hi Ben Sheets. I see you're wearing long pants again.

Excellent series win, guys! Now can we discuss how you're all choosing the grey tops? Gross. ;)
