Five Southeast Regional Emmy Awards

Original Programming, Studio Programming, Live Event Production and

On-Air Talent Recognized

FOX Sports South and SportSouth received five Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Southeast Chapter. The 2012 NATAS Southeast Regional Emmy Awards recognize television excellence in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Asheville, North Carolina.

“To be recognized with 12 Emmy nominations across nine categories and five Emmy wins is a great honor and confirms our commitment to provide the very best in local sports production and coverage,” said Jeff Genthner, senior vice president and general manager of FOX Sports South and SportSouth. “We are appreciative to the Southeast Chapter of NATAS for recognizing our accomplishments and congratulate the many other Emmy winners for their excellence in television production.”

So cool to see Zach Whipple getting some recognition - he's so nice. And I did really like Fredi's In My Own Words, but then, I like Fredi more than a lot of Braves nation does. :)

And although he didn't win, Jason Heyward was also among those nominated for "At Home With Jason Heyward" in the category of "News and Program Speciality Excellence." Overall FOX Sports South and SportSouth had 12 nominations across nine categories and took home five awards.
